A client has requested a Mermaid Art Doll that I have been working on. As an addition to the art dolls I am now mounting them to a even larger piece of artwork that I have hand painted on canvas, essentially making one 16x20 3D Gallery Piece. Ms. Mermaid will have an ocean scene background and be swimming downward to retrieve a pearl in a shell. I'm so excited about this direction and inspiration. I have this Mermaid piece to complete and I am simultaneously working on another piece that is "Steampunk" themed.
The steampunk doll will be mounted to a canvas painted with earth tones of an old grandfather clock with roman numerals and gear works that are exposed. I'm still working out some assembly issues and having to free hand all my art without a picture, only references since the design is all my own creation.
While I am waiting for paint to dry, I'm working on more "Team Gear Accessories" . I just invented this latest creation, so that you can cheer while keeping your hands warm, I call them "Cozy Cheerfingers" (right now, lol).
